Towing capacity - 2005 GC Limited

I'm planning on renting a travel trailer, however I've been informed that it weighs 6000 pounds. Is that to close to call for a GC Limited?

3.7L V6 is rated at 3500 pounds.
4.7L V8 is rated at 6500 pounds.
5.7L V8 is rated at 7200 pounds.

Since you say it's a limited, your tow rating is at least 6500 pounds since the limiteds only come with either the 4.7 or 5.7 V8s. A 6000 pound trailer is pretty darn close to the limit...add in food, water, luggage, etc, and you'd be over 6500 pounds very quickly.

A Limited has at least the 4.7 so you should be fine.

and 6500 pounds is the limit in the worst vehicle conditions (desert temperatures climbing a steep grade with AC on full). don't worry about if you go a few 100 lbs over.
