exactly.. the 52001 isnt made for our WK 3.7s..... it can be updateable to work with our trucks.. the 52501 "should" work out of the box for our truck.. did you hook it up to the computer and send the error to hypertech?

I did and it wouldn't do any update. Do I have to write down an error code and email them?

OR... Just plug it back up to your computer and mine just automatically updated itself without having hypertech send me an email with their update, click the "05-07 3.7", and it was ready to go!

Maybe you have the 52501 cause mine won't do anything like what you described, it's a 52001.

And it works. Still gotta tweak it but the engine actually sounds different. Had too much to drink to get it out on the road but it seems the thing isn't afraid to go near yellow line on the tach when pushing on the throttle.
Now I need to buy a CAI and install the headers & Magnaflow. Saw there was a discontinued Mopar/Jeep CAI for the 3.7L's; kinda want to look for a NOS one of those.

Got it installed.
Was out on the road taking the tuner through it's paces, saw a bull snake.
What can I say other than the throttle is way more responsive. For those of you that own a 3.7L, you know the difference between aggressive driving and not. Well, the tuner makes your non aggressive driving somewhat aggressive being that it seems that gas pedal is that much more responsive. Now I gotta learn how to drive less aggressive WITH the tuner cause it's just too easy to gun it. That and I gotta tweak the shift points cause I didn't and now the thing will go to yellow line in 3rd gear before it shifts, if you let it.

I just ordered one this morning for my XK. I bought it for mostly correcting the speedo and the added snort is a bonus

Make sure you gather your info before hand, tire size in inches by the quarter inch & speed rating, so you're not doing what I did and running back in the house and looking up stats.

379.00 new, you can find them used for less, just make sure the vehicle last used with it was returned to stock.

Do you think I could get away with buying any model number HyperTech? or do I have to buy one that says "3.7l" ect.
