Thinking of selling my CRD Grand Cherokee

Thinking of selling my CRD Grand Cherokee. I have come to the conclusion that I might have to sell my 2008 Grand Cherokee Diesel. I would like to know what the selling price should be. It is a fully loaded Overland with all the bells and whistles and only has 65000 miles. GDE Eco Tune since 45,000 miles and DPF Delete at 58,000 miles. All the fluids have been changed and is ready to go. I bought it a year and 3 months ago for $27000. I'm think I should be able to get 25K and some change out of it. Am I out of line on the price?

I bought my 2007 Limited QD2 CRD with 60,500 miles 2 years ago and paid $19,500 from a dealer. Not an overland like yours and a year older, but similar mileage.

I hate to say it but I think you both overpaid when you bought it a year ago and that you'd never get 25k for it. Also, modifications typically deduct value from a car. The future owner might not want to emissions equipment deleted (even though we know it's good for this motor to do that)

Honestly, if you've got a loan on that you might not be able to get out of it breaking even. You never know though, you might find someone willing to pay 25k, but it'll take a long time.

I would say 20k is more realistic. I don't think a lot of people know how rare these are and the 25k price tag for a 8 year old car might scare them away.

Nice looking jeep! $25k is probably too much, but you never know. I paid $13.5 for my crd limited with 132K miles a few weeks ago at a jeep dealer. New Grand Cherokees with a warranty and better fuel economy are probably a better deal than an odd ball $25k diesel with street illegal mods that was only produced for 2 years. That being said, if I were in the market I would buy yours in a heart beat for $20k...

Man...good luck. The 08+ regularly sell for quite a bit more, especially the optioned up models like yours. The MyGig electronics and updated interior/exterior help out lots. I'd love to have an overland over my Limited (even though all I don't have is the headlights), especially a diesel!

Dealers would maybe ask $25k, KBB has it in the $20,300-$20,900 range.
So if asking $20k is too low then keep it.

1.5 months ago I bought my 2007 with 48,400 KM (30,075 miles) for $16,000 Canadian. It was driven by ear, some minor body damage, but overall it was in the same shape as yours.

Gorgeous Jeep you have! However - I paid 28500 for my 07 in 09 when our Limited (dealer version because it was year 1 for Jeep and diesel) had 7k on it and mine has also ALL the bells and whistles including rear cam, rear DVD, etc and stickered at 43800 in 07 so you may get about 15 at best in my opinion. I would start at 20k. Sorry - its rare as heck but limited consumer market and those buying will always be weary based on Internet searches and risk.

I just want to add - traditional buyers do NOT like tunes, tweaks, changes (EHM, SWIRL deletes, etc) of any sort in this market space so the GDE tune is a hindrance IMO and not helpful as it is altering the vehicles natural performance and most simply don't know what "IT" is. If someone on JF sees it they would buy it in a heartbeat though. Good luck.

You might get some nibbles at $25,000. from real Jeep lovers. Specially since yours is such a rare model with QD 2. I have the diesel to and in my opinion the mods you have done should add value to your vehicle especially since it will be mainly Jeep enthusiasts who will be interested in it. Hold out for a while and see who's out there.
