Rear Seat Headrest

Heres a link to the DIY for fixing the rear seat headrest problem. Headrest will not return to upright position after rear seat back has been lowered.
Thanks to those who posted.

window regulator calibration

Here is a write-up on how to calibrate the door window auto-up feature, if you are having problems with the window regulator not working correctly, ie it goes up but then rolls partially back down. I found some other short procedures which might work, but this one is more detailed and did work correctly for me.

1. Drive the glass into the full-up position by pulling up on the window switch to its second detent (manual mode) and holding the switch until the glass is fully closed.

2. Drive the glass to the full-down position by pushing down on (depress) the window switch until the window glass is fully open. Do not release the window switch. Continue to hold the window switch down for 30 seconds after the window glass is fully open. Confirm that the express-up module has been de-activated by attempting an express-up cycle. The window should not operate in express mode. It should stop moving when you release the window switch. If it still does work in express mode, repeat step 2 holding the switch down for 40 seconds.

3. Drive the glass into the full-up position by pulling up on the window switch to its second detent (manual mode) and holding up on the switch for at least one (1) full second after the window glass is fully closed.

4. Check the operation of the express-up feature.

Edit: Do this window-up calibration with the engine running so the system voltage is "normal" 14.0 to 14.5 (not the 12.3 volts with the engine off).

Replace CRD alternator step by step

My alternator went out for the 2nd time the other day. 1st time I had it replaced under warranty. This time it became a DIY project. Click either of the links below if you wish to see my step by step guide.

Only what comes in the kit (spacers/springs &/or shocks)

What I would do.
With a spacer lift I would replace the rear shocks because of the extended travel created.
With a spring lift both the front & rear shocks to suit the new travel.

You will hear a lot of talk about upper control arms but really they aren't needed for 2". 60,000miles on a 2" lift with original upper control arms, that's 140,000 miles all up.
If you need upper ball joints then sure get them, I'm still waiting for mine to fail
