Has anybody do a swirl motor delete? What kind of performance decrease can be expected? See here: http://forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/sh...ad.php?t=97061

I did it and I have felt no decrease. Of course, at the same time I had a tune installed. As a matter of fact, my wife got 500 miles out of the last tank of fuel that came up to an average of around 28 mpg. A personal best for our wk!

I should clarify that I had it deleted via software. The flaps are still there, they are just permanently in the open position. There are no trouble codes.

fishinbama: Could you provide us more details of the delete? Is it included in the tune? Where you get the tune from?

It is available through Green Diesel...they will get you hooked up...the tune opens the flaps.

Can this be done after a swirl motor fail to solve the problem?

Is this the same company that was mentioned in another thread about the swirl motor?
