I was trying to see how much power the hemi acually had, I had it in 4x4 and spinning all tires on pavement when one or more of the tires grabbed and then bang bang bang.

then tow truck.

Are you kidding me? What did the salesman say?
Why is all I can ask? Would you do that to you xj? Who does a burnout in 4 wheel drive, on dry pavement, I could see wet or better yet in the mud, but DRY pavement?????

I've done the same thing to a 2002 dodge 3/4 ton 4x4, and didnt break anything.

and yes if my XJ would have enough power, I would do a 4x4 burn out, i've tried with my XJ even on wet pavement and it wouldn't break free.

I even did it with my 98 TJ, and it never broke.

I had a 1991 YJ 4cyl 2.5L 5sp stock drivetrain, 4.11gears, 231 part time. I was able to do a 4WD low 4 wheel burnout breakstand on dry pavement. Didn't break anything. Clutch and tires still worked and everthing. Smelled real bad, but they worked afterwards.

The Q trac is not one for burnouts though. That t case is like a viscous coupler not your standard tcase. It works all right though. Don't know if I'd do a 4wd burnout with it though.

Jeep dude 10000 your 4.0L has enough power to do a 4wd burnout, after all a 242 tcase is a kin to the 231 tcase.

H3 210hp tq peaks at 5k RPM?/ XK 5.7L 335HP/390tq pushrod HEMI.

H3 being towed around by a XK; PRICELESS!!

So let's see: H3 is underpowered, seats less, less towing, 7 slotted grille, looks the same. Sounds like the H3 wants to be a JEEP someday... Not gonna happen.
Oh yeh, whats the MPG on the H3? To me not much different 'tween 12 and 15MPG.

Oh and did I mention That thing Gotta HEMI ?!?

Class dismissed.

They need to put one of those signs up before you come in next time - "You break it, you buy it!" Dropping the hemi into 4-low and trying to burn out is ASKING for something to break!

I love my shiny red Commander. My 6'6" husband loves it too.

We're taking our first 12hour road trip w/it next month and I can't wait to sit in the 3rd row seat with 2nd row down and watch movies. I'll probably hook up the Xbox to play games too. I told him we'd take turns driving

after reading this, I have my g/f interested in selling her 2005 F-150 and getting a black one with the 6,500 lb. towing rating for her horse trailers
