Service 4wd system????

Hey, to all those more knowledgeable than me...I have a 2006 Commander 4.7 liter and I keep getting a service 4wd drive message on my dash. The dealership told me it was my 4wd actuator that needed to be replaced, so I found a used parts dealer that I could get one for $70 dollars as compared to almost $500 new from the dealer. I've put two different used actuators on, just in case the first one was bad, and still when I try to shift it into 4 low I get the service 4wd system error message. Don't know where to go from here...would appreciate any insight from you guys. Thanks for your time!!!!

did you happen to get the latest recall done ?the dealer may have done it while you had it in for the initial problem . if so read this http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f67/n...4-low-1561787/
If that's not it , your going to have to read the codes that are bringing up the service 4wd system message .
