I wish I could have finished it today...but I am not in a big hurry and want to do it right. Plus I need to order the front bump stops for the new coil overs. I do not want to dis-assemble the coil overs I just took off to get to the bump stop. So I will see if the local Jeep dealer has them or I will order them off line...plus I want to get the Rusty trace bar installed before I do an alignment.

Since I do not like to do more than 1 or 2 things at a time (cuts down on errors) I decided to get the drivers side suspension done before I started on the pass side.....also I did not want tear apart the Bilstein coilovers I am taking off...just in case I decide to sell I can do a quick switch back...anyway I am waiting on the bump-stops and the lower rubber spacer for the coilovers...they are arriving Tuesday at the local Jeep dealer. And I will be ordering a Rusty's trac-bar first thing Monday morning.

I did tackle the pinch weld mod on the drivers side....it is primed and waiting for some paint.

And of course the obligatory angle grinder meets finger pic....

Ahhh, love it bro! Nothing like the blood, sweat, and tears you will shed on your IFS Jeep... Relish this moment!

When I cut down my hitch to mod it for the 265 spare I fell victim to the angle grinder a couple times. Those things are an awesome tool but really dangerous.

JeepN4KC I had the exact same experience with my hitch mod. While working upside down underneath the Jeep, my Grinder jumped a few times close enough to make me stop for a few moments and re-focus.

Yeah, dude, if I had it to do over again I would have figured out a different approach. Using that angle grinder with a cut-off disk while layin on my back and working overhead is - well quite frankly - stupid. Just asking for bad news. Luckily I just got a couple knicks on finger/arm.

Haha...the angle grinder..

I was cutting the hitch the other day and I had a disc break...one of the pieces put a bruise on the top of my hand. At that point I looked around and said screw this...I took the rear bumper off and unbolted the hitch and finished cutting and grinding the hitch on the driveway.

The Mopar gas tank skid plate comes in contact with the one of the rear trailing arms when you put on a lift kit....so I was cutting out the area with the Dremel....and the whole time I was like this is so stupid...a Dremel tool inches away from a diesel tank.

Thankfully I got the piece cutout safely.

just wear safety glasses with that cutoff wheel. Nothing like a visit to the eye dr. to get metal fished out. Twice in 2 years for me.
