Did the quick door lock mod. Just unscrewed and used the Dremel to cut them down vs. simply screwing them down farther. such a relief...

Mounted the 4XG rear sliders and CB antenna mount last night. Went with a Firestik 3', just need to tune it a bit. I use a Midland handheld/portable CB that I figured I should improve the range a bit by adding a mounted antenna. Looks pretty good too. D-ring shackles are in the mail.

Installed my Matrix today and now working on the ever-popular grill mod. Ordered some lights and shackles. I love the front receiver. Perfect for surf fishing on the beach! Just need a beach...

But for now, I'll follow the herd. Couldn't wait to finish off the grill. Wound up using my Dremel and a ton of cut off wheels (instead of my pneumatic cut off wheel...too clumsy) for the plastic inserts and cutting the diamond cut grill.

Another big day in the garage. I now know I need a bigger air tank for my tools. I finished the grill, remounted and took some pics. Not sure about the red color yet, but once I get everything installed I can ponder the scheme. I plan on painting the calipers red and the wheels black with maybe red center caps. I'll paint the D-rings red and add black Daystar isolators. Who knows...
Let me know your thoughts as I add color. I like the idea of Mopar blue. I was at Lowes today and spotted the "Farm Equipment" fluorescent spray paints...

Anyway, I finished the grill mod and also had time to mount the 4XG Front Guard. Here's the grill:

With the air dam off I think it definitely looks messy down low. I'm not advanced enough to build my own skid, but even so I think the front 4XG looks great!

I just changed the oil and checked my coolant's operating range in case I needed to flush it. I would have done it before mounting the skid since it appears I'll have to drop it every time I change the oil filter, coolant, etc.

The front end is quickly coming together...

...just want to get her lifted up! Everything's ordered just need to choose my tires.

Threw an Airaid pre-filter on while I was at it today. First one I ordered was the wrong size...too small.

QUESTION:

Are there any other rear diff covers/guards for the QDII 12-bolt differential besides the 4XGaurd? I emailed Solid to see if they can make one but no reply yet.

How about rock rails? the only choices (besides custom) I've found are Steel Armadillo and 4XG? Any others? Which ones are the best?
