Schwo's WK Build

Alright, now that I've read many of your build threads and am finally in a position to beef up my WK, I have my work cut out for me. A little background on my WK: Bought it new in 2005. Limited with the Hemi. Immediately, ordered an AirRaid CAI, Thule MOAB roof rack, Rain Guards and Weathertech floor liners. I'll post pics once I figure it out...

After this I didn't do anything until the past few months. Thanks to all the WK folks out there for some great ideas.

In the USAF. Bought my baby in '05, then headed to S. Korea, Germany, Iraq, Canada and now FINALLY back home in the US of A.

Lift is in the mail. By reading the posts I started hearing about Kolak. Sent him a PM, he called me immediately and gave me some great advice. I had been looking at a few lifts and settled on the OME HD. Should be here in a few weeks.

Next, (again these next few posts are documenting my flurry of 2005 steps to personalize my new WK) I bought a Thule MOAB Roof Rack. Set it up so that it's all in front of the rear axle so it doesn't add to my tongue weight when towing my trailer.

This is what I tow with it...Hemi has a tow rating around 7200 lbs. Adding the OME HD suspension this month, so should tow even better.

I just bought the car hauler in 2010. Immediately installed a Tekonsha P3 Trailer Brake Controller. Works great.

LOL. Yea, they've been a great investment. It was a fun couple of weeks about 5 years ago when I decided to go against my better judgment and Armorall them. Man they looked clean...but as indicated on the Armorall bottle, DO NOT APPLY THERE, it made for some slippery footwork...

I need to detail the whole Jeep.

Cai

The last mod I did in 2005 was to add an Airaid Cold Air Intake kit. The engine sounded sweet. Who knows if it bumped my HP and MPG. I painted the housing box red for the heck of it (it seems to be a theme as you'll see). I need to take another pic of it since I can't find the original.

I just went fly fishing last month and the access road was dusty as all get out. Came home and washed the engine, cleaned the Airaid filter and promptly ordered a pre-filter. It should be here next week.

I suppose these are enough posts for one night. I'm stoked to simply document my progression in one place.

Future mods include: more under body armor, 4XG Matrix, 4XG rear sliders, 4XG CB antenna mount, Firestik, Superchips, Spidertrax spacers and new tires (32"), paint wheels & calipers, pinch weld mod (rear fender if needed), lights, rock rails, diamond mesh grill, and who knows what else.

I've already cut down the front door locks since they've been pinching me for years!

GOAL: To have my WK and CJ prepped and ready to head to next year's Moab Easter Jeep Safari!!!!!!!! 11 months and counting
