Saguaro 4x New WK Bumper
Okay guys was just checking my facebook when I saw that Saguaro 4x just posted pictures of their new WK bumper that they are building. I must say that I like the look of it over the ARB bumper. Looks like it is meant to go offroad and doesn't look nearly as bulky as the ARB one. I just saw it literaly 2 minutes ago so I haven't had much time to check it out. Wanted you guys to know first!
Here are some links. Facebook :Saguaro 4x Components's Photos - Project WK | Facebook Where I saw the pictures Main Site: Saguaro 4x Components.com| Bumpers | Tire Carriers | Rock Sliders | Jeep Components Pictures aren't up yet. Winch protection and mounting, looks like a little radiator support skid? The only downside is a $1300 base cost. Pricing includes powder coat. ----More details about weight, size, features will be on their website tonight. I'll keep you all tuned.

I love it!!! I would buy it right now if it was a few hundred less. That is expensive with shipping. I like the look of it more than the ARB. A lot slimmer and less bulky. That grill is nice too. Any idea how much it goes for?

Wow way too expensive for someone who doesn't offroad every weekend. It looks awesome as hell though.

That grill looks goofy IMO. Id like to see them produce the honey comb one, but I asked them and they said its not ready yet and if its $185 like the other one Ill say screw it and build my own at Lowes.

I don't think its too bad a price, others (not for WK) run around the same price if not higher.

I guess you disable the airbag thingy with fuses.. I am sure airbag sensors and this bumper would not work. Up here if you disable air bags your compensation in an accident will be lower. (British Columbia).
I like the look of this bumper.

quoted from user TRZ on jeepsunlimited forum
"Regarding air bags - the bumper (most likely) doesn't have the crumple zones that the ARB does. Your air bags should still work, but a front end accident will transfer more energy into the subframe than the stock or ARB bumper (or, transfer more energy into the crumple zones of the vehicle you hit)." I think he's probably right. It might be a steel bumper, but it will probably still give and since it is bolt-on there's also a chance that the bolts will sheer off if enough force is applied which will push the bumper in and activate your airbags - anyways, that's how I see it working in my head. I could be completely wrong though. Just my opinion. ![]() http://www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums/showthread.php?t=519152&page=2 heres that thread it was on |
