The 1st pic reminds me of a kid at Christmas, trash everywhere.

A seller on eBay. $145. Shipping was $52.00 unfortunately, but I'm happy with the rack

Is your Rola branding on the front crooked? Mine is and it really bugs me:

Doesn't seem to be. That is one qualm I have with ROLA, the rack is nice, but there seem to be some fit and finish issues: mine was advertised as "new", but I'm pretty sure it was used since it had areas where the black finish had been rubbed off, and tip of the right connector tube on the front was dented and I had to shape it back into place with pliers to fit it into the rear section.

Mine is the same way, but it doesn't bother me. Almost every rack I have seen, ROLA has been like ours. For a nice rack under 200, cant complain too much. You would think that they would see that at the factory though.

I ended up buffing the logo off. It just bugged me too much. I was just looking at it today thought maybe I'd throw a "Jeep ORT" decal up there. (Super-duper straight though.)

Is it true that you can flip the stock rails upside down to make the rack sit lower? If so does anyone have any pictures? Just curious... I would like to get one but the height bothers me.

I thought about that, the ORT decal would look good.

Pic and info in my Build Thread. You can drop it about .75". Not significant, but noticable.

I see about 3/4" lowering the rack because you are then sitting it metal on metal. That is you are gaining the height by reversing the pads that roof rack came with.

I don't see any "lowering" due to replacing the knobs with the bolts, a security improvement yes but no lowering.

Better fuel mileage with the rack lowered, but I personally would not run the roof rack on the just those attachment pins. That luggage moves up and down and the mounts are for cushsion just like engine mounts.
