Rocky Road Spacer Lift
Hey everyone, I'm in some need of help. So I'm pretty new to all of this, not that I'm a beginner, but far from an expert. So I ordered a RRO 2.25" spacer lift for my 05' WK. I started reading the directions until I found out how little of a help they were. It's not that they are too vague, but they act like everything is done with 100% ease. So when it came to getting the clevis bolt out, I just didn't have what it takes. I blasted it with as much PB Blast as I could and i regrettably beat it pretty good trying to get it out. Nothing seemed to work, so instead, I removed the upper control arm to hopefully find a way. I ended up getting the strut out and used my strut compressor to put the new bolts in. But the problem is, without the lower strut fork removed, it seems impossible. I can get pretty close, but i just can't get the strut back in with the new spacer. It seems like it would be possible by removing the inner wheel wells, but with those plastic pins attached around my fenders, I don't know how... I'm dying to get this done, does anyone have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Did you put a jack under your LCA when you were trying to get the clevis bolt out? If so you might have had it jacked up too high and the spring was causing too much compression for you to get the bolt out. Try lowering the jack until the LCA is just sitting on it and then remove the bolt.
