error code P0700

Had my reflash done couple of weeks ago. Checked and it appears to shift into and out of 4 lo (only drove about 10 feet to shift in and out). However, twice in the last couple of days when starting from a stop the engine rev properly, but it was like I had no power, like the transmission was slipping. Pulled over. Shut everything off. Restarted and all was fine.
2nd time I noticed the manual shifter feature on the shifter knob would not work and I now have an error code P0700. No service 4 wheel drive message. Any ideas? thanks

It revved up while driving?

Sounds like something else is going on with yours. This response only addresses the FDCM directly.

I checked 4-Lo before the N23 FDCM reflash. No DTC's
Had dealer check it after also. No DTC's.
After your post, I checked it again. No DTC's.

I always go after the small, free, and easy things first.

Think I would start by checking & cleaning the connections on the FDCM (under back seat on mine) and at the xfer case. Remove, clean, and add a small dab of dielectric grease at each terminal. Since these things run at low voltage, a little corrosion buildup can cause a high resistance fault and a weird result.
Disconnect your negative battery terminal first before pulling any connections. It will also start you fresh and DTC-free. The DTC history should remain in the PCM memory IIRC.

After that, you might want to do the same thing with xmission electrical connections that are subject to moisture and road dirt. Some other members have reported crud buildup in the shifter module (under the handle). They cleaned it and all was well. I haven't pulled mine, so this is 2nd hand info and may be worth what you paid to get it.

if you are experiencing 'service 4wd system':

please call this number- 1-800-853-1403

report the problem with the last 8 of your vin. Chrysler advised it's not a problem until more people report it. I wish we can do a roll-back to the previous software release
worth repeating

Honestly, I was given such a run around that I don't really know. I am taking it to another Jeep dealer this week to start all over. The previous dealer really torqued me off when first mentioning the actuator. He told me it would cost $600, but he would give me a deal for $300. After my insistance that it was a drive train warrenty issue, they realized it was covered. That is when I started to lose confidence

Went to pull out in traffic this morning and something started grinding. Getting a service 4wd system and service electric brake system message now.

ABS and traction control lights are on too. Amazing how all this happened after taking it to the dealer

I'm holding off on getting the "fix" too. Mine has no symptoms so why fix it.

A work around software solutions sounds fishy to me. Don't they optimize their software to their hardware when they design it? Seems like a work-around would leave some holes somewhere.

I've got all kinds of warnings now. I'm sure it has something to do with the flash they did. Never had problems before

I think I might just hold off to. After hearing all the issues, I wouldn't be surprised if they come out with an update on he fix.
I carry a small set of folding wheel chocks, I'll use them if I have to park on a hill (gotta fix my ebrake).

I would. Wish in would have never done mine. Now its dying when coming to a stop. Still have the service 4wd message, and service electric brake system. Not throwing any codes. Never done any of this before the recall.

Not to play devils advocate, but mine gets close to dying sometimes too; it's not the flash. They do that and multiple people on here (way before the flash came out) have experienced this. The flash only focuses on that one module and nothing else. Anyone who is saying they saw differences, etc, is just prone to the placebo effect.
