Rear wheel bearing - Axle Fit

I am changing the rear wheel bearings and made it successfully through the passenger side. However on the driver side the axle was stuck into the bearing and came out when I removed it. Now I cannot seem to align the axle correctly to get it seated. Any recommendations?

It's likely hitting low on the spider gear. You'll have hold it up to keep it in the center of the spider gear where it mates.

Seems like it goes in the first part holding it upwards and then gets bound up.
