Question about roof rack on 05 GC limited
Hello everyone, I am new to this forum as well as Jeeps in general. I just got this jeep, 2005 GC Limited, and am making a project out of it, already got 2.5" spacers and 265/70/r17 terra grappler tires, 2 kicker 12s, cool air intake, and pa system, but what I want now is a roof rack. My budget is around 300 dollars, but I was wondering if you can mount one to the stock cross bars, or do I have to buy new bars as well? any info is appreciated, thanks!!

By rack do you mean a basket? If so the rola vortex is a really nice one that can be found new for under 200 on etrailer.com that's what I have here
Its attached to the factory cross rails with the hardware that comes with the basket

Not a prob. It is a 2 piece basket that you will want to either have welded together or sealed somehow but they are low profile and look great I got mine used on Craigslist for 100 Bux but I think they run about 170 new on the website I provided earlier

And with the money you'll save on the basket price you could buy a pair of rigid industries duallys to put up there for some added lighting or you could go on the cheaper side and add a pair of hella 500's which are great too i have a set of those behind my front grille
