Quadradrive II or Quadrtrac II?

I looked at some 2009 GC's today at the dealer. I'm looking for a Hemi with QuadrdriveII. The 3 (2 LTD's & 1 Overland)I looked at all had the Quadradrive II badge by the shifter but said Quadratrac II on the sticker. What gives? Does anyone know? I really don't trust the dealer to tell me which is right.

Ouch. That's a mess. The Overland should be Quadra-Drive since I think they all are but as to the others if you can't trust the badge, or the dealer, I can't think of another way of sniffing the correct system out.

Did you check the entire sticker?

The sticker may show both.
First what is standard, QuadraTrac II
and then
It may list QuadraDrive II as an option?

Mine was exactly the same on the build sheet. I phoned Chrysler Canada, and asked them the same question. The response I got was, Quadra trac II is standard on your model, and was optioned out with Quadra drive II. Also mentioned that all Quadra drive II equiped Jeeps have the plague on the center console by the shifter.

I agree, Chrysler should have made this less confusing

Yes I checked the whole sticker and so did the salesman. That is what was confusing.

If it says Quadradrive by the shifter bezel its gotta be quadra drive.

Most limited hemi models have QD2.
Standard on the Overland hemi.

Optioned on the Limited's with the 4.7 and the 5.7.

In most cases if a hemi wk says Quadradrive on the shifter bezel it is Quadradrive.

I'd say that is confusing, but I agree with JMorash

Ditto. The Overland has QuadraDrive II, as do most (if not almost all) Limiteds. Been looking at upgrading to a new Overland, so I checked this out.

Now... if I can find one in the color I want (Red Rock or Modern Blue)... definitely URI Green.

Can someone post up a pic of where this identifying plaque is? I'm in the market for an '06-'09 WK and I want to make sure I get the QDII.

Here you go: http://www.wkjeeps.com/photos/2005_wk_24c.jpg

You can see it at the bottom of the shifter bezel.

Sometimes dealers take decent enough interior photos where you can tell right away, other times not so much.

Thanks, that was quick!

So, it needs to have that badge (unless someone debadged it) to have the QDII, right? Thus far, I've been scoutin' for the little 4LO T handle. If I understand correctly, though, it could be QTII and have the 4LO, too, though, right?
