Is it possible some of the dip has blocked the hole of the nozzle causing it to "splatter" a bit causing a texture look? youtube "dipyourcar" ...the videos are great. If you look at the way he sprays, they are short quick bursts rather than a continuous spray. I have done all my emblems with no issues, doing the wheels wednesday after I get my new rubber on - 255-70-17's general grabbers!

No I just sprayed from too far away and to lite if coats. When I sprayed thicker and closer it turned out good and flat. IM going to redo them soon.

WieSeL,

I have been playing with plasti dip for a while. If you go to Dipyourcar.com they actually have kits, and a ton of different colors and tones of plasti dip. At home depot they only have black and white. But you can actually plasti dip then paint over the plasti dip with any color you want. I just did it to my rims. Do the first coat lightly in sections, then do about 3 coats after that. I did my front bumper also, If you dont do it right it comes out crappy.

I first did about 3 or 4 coats of black, then lightly sprayed rustoleum over the plasti dip. I had them just black before but go bored and experimented if i get bored of this and just want black again, Ill do another coat of plasti dip. Use index cards instead of painters tape, its much easier.

When you got the pic you want, tap the menu button on your phone and one of the options is "view links". Hit that and it'll give you the HTML & IMG codes. Just tap on the link and it'll automatically copy. Close the app and get on here. Just hit reply to a thread and in the blank comment area, press and hold on the screen until the paste option comes up and paste the IMG code in the reply area. Then add your comment.

Redid the wheels today. Sprayed thicker coats from closer and they turned out good. Also got new lug nuts and took my center caps out of the stock chrome clad wheels and painted just the Jeep emblem and stuck them in the dipped Moabs.

Just did my wheels today...3 cans, 5 coats. I didn't mask off anything, just used a plastic bag cut down the side, fed it through the wheel to cover the rotors...it peeled right off the tire...no need to use cards or tape
