Don't do it. Blast them online if you must, but absolutely do not picket a dealership. You can serve jail time depending on the outcome and the laws in your area. If you would entertain my help, I'm an auto broker and might be able to get you in touch with someone that can do it right, or contact that dealer and speak with the right person to ensure you're happy. However, IMHO, stay away from dealers and their service departments. Unless it's warranty work / free maintenance, I don't sniff a retail dealer and their "service department."

I'd talk to a lawyer before you do anything... Make sure you have 100% case or it could backfire.

Why not do it? Just stay off their property and you would be fine. Some of these Jeep dealerships likely have it coming.

Because business are starting to get tired of the customer is always right thing and starting to fight back especially if it is something that could cause them to loose even more profit. Standing outside with a sign is certainly one of those.

I think first picketing is only going to make them not want to rationally deal with you.

But further more if you are not 100% in the right on your reason you could get sued for defamation. Its happen now for people who even give negative reviews on things even online like yelp.

Trust me I bought a used Jeep WK2 last year and 3 weeks after I bought it the leather dash pealed right off the dash. Was quoted 3-4k to fix it.. I tried everything I could to get it fixed and even consulted a lawyer. She was the one who told me to be very careful about what I said online and not to name the dealership because I might end up being the one getting sued. She currently was dealing with a few cases of this nature.

So long as you tell the truth, good luck to anyone suing you.

Interesting thread and we should keep it going for opinion-sake! The customer has to have "some" leverage somehow right?

Im no longer considering this approach (to do today) as my dealership (as frustrating as it has been) made things right with no charge of labor or for the new parts that were added after what was done initially to fix my prob didnt. Its a win-win...some new free parts with no labor .....for some time away from the Jeep.

And for reference for any Chryssler/Jeep/Dodge higher ups who read this, this is how it should be done. My biggest gripe-much faster service though not a month.

the only 'truth' when involving lawyers, is that they get their payday.

Picketed many dealerships! You may run wording of sign by lawyer, but is perfectly legal under first amendment! Stand in utility right of way near road or power lines. Get a map of property lines to at courthouse to help you find boundaries? Exercise your rights, it is the American way. Stealership will want to settle with you I'm sure!

See, aren't you glad you didn't picket them! As was said, I don't think they would have worked with you if you picketed them.
