The parts are piling up. Time for a build thread! Done for now!

I have finally taken the Jeep over as MY primary vehicle. It's kid hauling days are over. After a 1990 Wrangler that ran on 3 cylinders and had a ton of miles and and 03 Liberty, this is by far my favorite.

My plan is to keep it simple with a few basic appearance and suspensions mods. It's not gonna be a hard core off road vehicle unfortunately, but it will be able to take me where I need to go and do what I ask it to do.

This is as it sits today, except I just added a Mopar fog light kit.
I has 255/65/17 Destination AT's that I love, but that will be changing.

I spent a nice afternoon with the snips making my expanded metal grill:

And I had some fun with Plasti-dip on the pillars and emblems:

I contacted Kolak and he set me up with an OME kit, isolators, 1.25in Spydertrax spacers. I am also waiting on 4 Moog ball joints and a set of 265/70/17 Cooper Discoverers(Amazon Prime is awesome!)

The fun is just begining.
Once that pile of parts is installed, I'll hopefully be adding recovery points and blacking out the wheels.

Sounds like a pretty good build! Kolak is a great vendor to order through! Any ETA on the parts?

I saw a how to on jeep garage forum on how to wrap the pillars with vinyl. It looked like a huge pain in the butt so I plasti dipped mine. I masked along the body line at the top and where it meets the door shell at the bottom. It's been on for several months and is holding up great.

I actually hadn't considered that. I'll add it to my down the road list.

PS... ball joints arrived from Amazon today. Just waiting on springs and tires now

So... I finall tried out the new Plasti-dip smoke. It's ok, takes a lot to darken things up. Looks pretty decent though.

And I got the lift installed by a fantastic local guy last night! Here's a not so great pic I took on the way home:

Rides and handles great. This is the HD kit with a 3.7. The new tires and 1.25in spacers will be installed in a week. I was able to stop by and check out the progress and was relieved that suspension was solid other than the lower ball joints. I guess being a soccer mom vehicle for the last couple years and living in the garage preserved everything.

Had my 265/70/17 AT3's and 1.25in spacers installed yesterday before a big storm here in Ohio. It's a beast now! I love it. Next up are plasti-dipping the wheels and some skids.

That thing looks sexy. I wish I could get the OME, but I just replaced my shocks and struts last year so if would feel like a waste.

Sweet. I wanted to skip the bb anyhow. Any break line extensions needed or just rear shocks and the springs.
