P0308 + Rough Warm Start + Gas Odor from AC Vents

Hello to All,

I continue to get a P0308 on the code reader. I've replaced plugs, coils, injectors, TPS, IAC, PVC, 02 Sensors and the EGR. The car had failed e-missions about 3 months ago, however, after the 02 Sensors and EGR replacement, it passed emissions last week.

On a COLD start, the GC starts up just fine. And no odor from the AC vents. On a HOT start, say after stopping into a 7-11, the GC starts up just fine and now odor from the AC vents. On a WARM start, after the vehicle has sat for an hour or so, it has a ROUGH start (does not instantly turn over). Also, on a WARM start, there is a gas odor that comes through the AC vents (if on fresh air, not on recirculating air).

any suggestions on the cause/remedy for this?

I had the issue on a Cherokee once (gas smell on warm startup). It was the gas cap. It did not throw any codes. You could also check cyl 8's injector as it may be leaking when hot and no pulses. The fpr does hold pressure after the vehicle is shut off. I have also seen an injector O-ring that is mis-seated that can cause what you are saying; rough start after warm soak. Or the injector could be getting too hot and vapor locking; Ive seen that before too.
