Just tie into the interior lights. The LED's will be on every time the interior lights come on. My interior lights pop on when I unlock it. You could put a toggle switch inline somewhere so that you can turn them off whenever you don't want them on.

BTW - My LED's arrived today!

BTW, lobve the back and forth over something that really means nothing. Also, I did do this Mod and I did it for the usefullness and the look. there a a ton of things I have wasted alot more money on than this mod, besides I had the Saguaro swtich abnk and had to find 5 things to have on switches. I can't stand looking at blanks.

Olmelet, I thank you for all of your write ups. Since reading your BS, I have spent $$$$. I should hate you, but I stacked my OME hd, added a ****-ton of lights. And Love the look of my rig.

So I mounted the rear lights to the track bar temporarily. Until I can get a rear skid. Sorry for the crappy quality pictures, my phone was all I had at the moment.

Any one hook these up to their courtesy lights yet?

My lights should finally be in on tues or wed. (Hong Kong) I was going to look into a diode to prevent back feed to the interior lights but then I was thinking I'd just get a three position switch (SP-DT /single pole-double throw) that way I can have two seperate feeds to the switch that are completely isolated from one another. I'd end up with "On / Off / Auto", with auto being courtesy lights turning on with the remote.

So my question would be which wire to tap for the dome lights? I guess I could just tap it at a lamp but I was hoping for to catch it closer to the fuse box.

I got one from Radio Shack, (IN4001) micromini silicon diode. They came in a pack of two for less than a buck. I just haven't installed it yet.

omelet, Thanks for sharing this.

I really like the light it puts out in your pictures.

How long did it take for you to get the product?

I plan on buying 3 sets.

How does the heat shrink hold up against being submerged? Around here I usually end up bumper deep in water. haha It looks sweet thought and for $40 bucks I'd definitely give it a shot.

EDIT: The link you posted isn't up for sale anymore so I was looking around and all the 40 dollar ones seem to be from china, is that where yours came from? because I know there's a lot of cheap chinese crap imitations on ebay.

Well I don't get very much water around here, but the strip is supposed to be water proof. The most amount of water they have seen so far is from driving in the rain and some splashes with mud. And they still work! It is supposed to rain pretty good tomorrow and if it does I know of a water crossing that is close to my house that I can use to test their "Waterproof" ability.

The link I posted was for a listing on eBay and they were from china. The quality seems to be just fine and comparable to all the others I have seen (I am no LED expert though).
