and how was I being a dick? if you want me to be a dick I can be a dick... but if using the point and laugh smiley makes me a dick to you then you should probably just go ahead and crawl into a hole and never come out. its a big bad world out there and there are a hell of a lot of things worse than someone laughing at you

I am still working on where/how I am going to mount them.

I got the sections soldered up, the relay and switch is wired in, I just need to mount and wire in the individual sections.

Omelet - just got mine finished today. I am still trying to figure out how to put them behind the rear tires since I don't have a Rear skid yet. Thanks for this write up man. It is awesome. Truely, the things you do to your WK inspire some of us. Thanks man.

I was looking at that as well. I was thinking maybe on the inside of two rear sliders (either side of the spare). Theres a recess that runs down the center to protect the light strip. You would be able to angle them down slightly by mounting toward the top of the recess, but I don't know if that will be enough to direct the light down, or if they're just going to light up the sides of the spare. I need to make up a test strip and try different placements. (as soon as my lights get here.)

Budasac - I'm looking at mounting angle iron (or some sort of corner metal) on the sliders so the lights would be pointed straight down. Just haven't went and got the metal yet.

That's a good idea. I haven't gotten that far yet.

Keep us posted on the progress.

Awesome Guys!

I am glad others are doing this. It is such a cost efficient mod that can be so useful when you need it! I used them last week to remove all my skids at night. No flashlight needed!

I'm waiting on someone to experiment and figure out how to get them to turn on when unlocked. I don't really need rock lights but using them as courtesy lights would be awesome

Bumzo1 - I am still planning on tapping into the interior lights to accomplish just that. I just need to find the time. I will try to do it this weekend for you.

AlwaysHI - Thanks a lot Bud! Get it done. You will love it!
