so did you run all 4 strips off the one relay? meaning you had 4 hot and 4 ground wires running off the relay? or did you just run all 4 power wires and all 4 ground wires to one hot and one ground?

gonna keep an eye on this love to see how well it handles water and moisture

I used one relay. I ran all 4 power and all 4 ground wires up into the engine compartment. Then I merged them into 2 wires (1 power and 1 ground) and connected them to the relay. This is how I have my auxiliary wiring done:

(Please excuse the crude drawing )

And I am using a Blue Sea fuse block:

Update!

I had to go out the other night and decided to snap some night shots of the rock lights. I pulled up onto a pile of rocks and sand to try to simulate off road conditions where I will need to see rocks under the Jeep. Unfortunately all I had was my phone which doesn't take the greatest night shots. I will have to bring a real camera the next time! Enjoy!

You have a crap load of lights. I can't get over the output on those LED's. Sweet. They would be nice entry/courtesy lights too. My WJ had a light strip under the rocker that came on when I unlocked the doors with the remote. Was a nice litttle feature.

I am planning on running a wire to the inside lights to do just that. These LEDs will make some sweet courtesy light on unlock and open doors!

I may have to copy you just for the entry light action. The whole deal cost you under $50 right?

Yep! Just under $40 actually, because I had all the wire and stuff I needed to make them work.

Sweet! Make sure they are the ones that have 120 LEDs per meter (600 LEDs per 5 meter roll).

Omelet,
Ok, I have a question on the switches. I hope words can be used to describe my wiring:

power from the battery ====to the new (not yet purchased) fuse box==========power from fuse box to the rocker switch==== from the rocker switch to the device.

I have tried this wiring and it works on the leds strip using a 9v battery for power. the 1st question I have is should both rocker lights be on when the device is off? I think I may have something wrong because I have to push the rocker switch down to turn the device on and then the top light goes off.

If you have any input that would be great, I tried to look at your drawings. Still don't understand them. it looks to me that you have things wired differently

Mike it sounds like you might have the wires on tour switch in the wrong positions. Try switching the wires around a little. What switch are you using? One other thing is I am using a relay as well, which might be why the diagram is not making sense to you. If you don't have a relay in your system then you can't go off of my drawing, though I would recommend using one.

alright, the switch is the 5 pole one, I got them from sierra. They only switch on and off, the poles are:

+ -
-
+ -

I think thats the poles, it works and lights up and turns the device on and off. I do agree the I should get some relays.

Mayor_bloom - Maybe this will help. Here is the back of my switches. I have all of my grounds linked together and all the ACC linked together. Then you run a wire from the bottom to the relay.

My drawing might make a little more sense now.
