Sorry for a random question on your thread, but I feel its relevant you your build. Anyway, when doing your hitch mod, how did you get the tire side of the carriage bolts to not turn while tightening the other side. I have my bumper off and hitch ready to get cut up but have no idea how you made a carriage bolt work there...

Thanks in advance,

Mike B.

I did this also and what I did was grind a notch in the top of the carriage bolt big enough to fit a screw driver in. Then you can hold it in place while tightening the nut.

The carriage bolts that I used were serrated on the back side. So when I went to tighten them down they grabbed and didn't move.

I snagged these the other day! He has a BB with 265/70R17 tires. The Bison is wearing the 295s.

I also found this Tacoma! I have never been much of a Tacoma fan, but I would wheel the piss out of this thing!!!

I love tacos, just not a fan of the front bumper. Besides that that thing is a beast

You need to go find a stocker parked next to a bb, so we can get a side by side by side comparison!

Taco has LT325/65/R18 .. or more or less a 35" Friend of mine here in Austin has a beastly Taco as well. But he got tired of body work on it and built a tube frame crawler that he abuses now. The poor Taco gets to be designated tower.. I offer to take it out and remind it what wheeling is like, but he just laughs at me for some reason..
