No problem! I am still waiting for someone else to actually do it too. So come join the homemade Hidden Winch Club with me!

You should ask that company that stole your idea Nate. I'm sure they know some people that have done the mod.

If you are referring to S4xC they didn't steal it, their design is different from mine. And technically AEV was the first one to do it back in 04.

I'm actually thinking that it's going to be the first real mod that I do once I have a CAI and exhaust on it! You said in your build that you couldn't put the fair lead on after the bumper cover, why couldn't you weld the nuts to the backside of the mount then bolt it up after the cover?

You can do that if you want. I plan to either weld the nuts on or instal a couple nutserts. Originally I only put the bolts on hand tight with a nut and lock washer on the back side. That way the fairlead was slightly loose and adjustable, so that I could pop the bumper on and adjust the fairlead to sit right where it needed to. Then I torqued the bolts down and the lock washers made it to I didn't need to hold a wrench on the nuts. Now that it is right where it needs to be I can pull the bumper off and weld the nuts in place. I need to do the same thing to the two center nuts for the Matrix.

On another note, I talked to my main man Nick today and he said my SL will be here on Monday!!! To bad I will be out of town until Wednesday

Yes SL time! I have the next couple days off but I don't think I will start it until Sat afternoon or Sun morning. I still need to hit everything on the Jeep with PBB. So I think I will start that tonight and do it a couple times a day until then. I am doing inventory right now. Anyone want to come and help this weekend? I have a comfy blowup bed and a couch
