Haha! I am sure! I haven't had to jack it up for maintenance in a while! The case allows me to reach the engine compartment easier so I am not on my toes all day. Luckily I have a few cases that are lager that I can use.

Haha! I am sure! I haven't had to jack it up for maintenance in a while! The case allows me to reach the engine compartment easier so I am not on my toes all day. Luckily I have a few cases that are lager that I can use.

You'll probably need to bungee jump into the engine compartment next time. Bungee down, grab a spark plug, back up, and then back down to the next one.

I'd definitly invest in a taller stool.

Haha! Well I guess the next time I will plan for it to take twice as long! Every time I swap out the plugs on this thing it makes me wish it was my XJ with the I6

I changed out the oil today after the plugs were finished. Lots of guys have covered the convenience of the Fumoto plug and hose so I didn't snap a pic of that. However once I finish draining the oil I always secure the valve handle with a zip-tie for peace of mind.




Also I have mentioned this in other threads before, but this is what I do to remove the filter.






Between the Fumoto with the hose and the funnel with the hose, oil changes are easy and mess free!

On your Fox shocks you said the valving came out to 30/60 how do you set that and how do you know what to set them to?

I see you didn't wanna wait for me to come to Cali to change your oil... that's ok, haha. I have a funnel and hose and never thought to use either one for the filter or the pan.

I got mine used and the valving that was in them was way too stiff for my Jeep so I took them into a local off road shop that specializes in desert racing and had them to it. Their mad shock scientist figured out exactly what I needed fo my specific application. With these shock as long as you have the proper tools and specs you can maintain them or revalve them yourself, but figuring out exactly what valving you will need takes some expertise. I could give you the shop's number if you wanted to call them and find out what valving they recommend for your Jeep? That way you can just order the shocks already set up the way you need them! Save you some time and money.

The ones from Bilstein are set to 255/70... Are these going to be way to stiff? My Wk is pretty much a street queen..

Sorry bud, I am not sure. That is why I took mine into an expert and had them figure it out for me. I told them I had an 05 WK with OME HD coils and about 200lbs of extra wait in the rear over stock, and I wanted them to feel smooth and controlled like the OMEs up front do.

255/70 is actually the recommended calving for the back of our WK's. The lighter calving would be far too light. I have the Bilstein 5125's in that valving in the rear and it rides great. You're good to go!

Different style valving. Guessing its for the reservoir itself since that's the adjustable part.
