Yea we need to figure something out real soon, I won't be around much longer. Currently my struts are out of the Jeep though, I should hopefully have all the parts to get it back together Monday (dumb fedex screwed up.....)

You free the weekend of the 25th?

Why would I need those? I have the the HD coils and they don't need any help. I never tow anything either, so I don't see the point.

I just saw this:

http://youtu.be/3TEuvYwZxUs

That just gave me another reason to love Falken tires. Their groove job is pretty slick too! I need to get myself a set and do some grooving again. Those tires look even better now! And if they are surviving out on the Hammers of all places, then I think they would work for me

They built that buggy not to far from me. American rock rods started it and I can't remember who finished it. When they first started (and I'm sure still), people were skeptical of the tire size and design. They have been pushing those tires pretty hard lately trying to get people to try them and they seem like a good tire. It will be interesting to see when it comes race day how they do (at high speeds in rocks, not just crawling) and their time compared to others in their class. Really interested to see how much they push their rig.

Ya they have been pushing their tires hard the past couple years. I have seen guys push them pretty hard with good results, but not at this level yet. This will be a real test of just what they can handle. I just hope Falken doesn't hold back. I want to see them push it just as hard as every other rig with competition tires.

I forgot to mention that my LED rock lights were perfectly fine where they were and needed no modification to accommodate the new sliders. I do however need to do something about the front strip since it was attached to the 4xG front skid which has been replaced with the ASFIR skid. I will do that after fabbing up a lower grill skid.

Yesterday I got one of the sliders clean up, wiped down, and primed. Hoping to get the other one finished and then bedline both of them.

I have also been designing a skid to fill this void:

More to come on that

I got the other one primed and started on the bedliner. I was hoping to finish tomorrow, but now it is supposed to rain so we will see.

I also worked on the lower grill skid a little bit. I got a first draft drawn out and a cardboard cut out made that I will fit tomorrow.

Yes they are all at least 1/4" aluminum (some are thicker). I haven't weighed them all yet, but this is what I have so far:

4xG Front - 30lbs
4xG Belly - 25lbs
Mopar T-Case - 11lbs
Mopar Suspension - 20lbs
Asfir Front - 23lbs
Asfir T-Case - (I haven't weighed it yet)
4xG Rails - 54lbs (EA)
Steel Amarillo Sliders - 43lbs (EA)

The front Asfir skid is 1/4" and takes the place of the Mopar suspension skid (which is only 1/8" stamped steel) and the 4xG front skid (1/4" steel) at less than half the weight!
