Busted windshield and sunroof, dented the roof skin and rack, destroyed the driver door, and body and paint damage to the hood, front quarter panel and rear driver door. I'm hoping to get it back before Labor Day, but with all the tornado damage in OK this year the body shops are backed up.

Wow that sucks! Sounds like some pretty good damage. Did your insurance consider scrapping it? What's the repair cost for all of that?

Yeah, when I heard the tree fall and walked out I assumed it was totaled. The adjuster on the other hand only estimated about $7,000 in damage so it wasn't close. Luckily a buddy of mine owns a body shop so I'm hoping to come out of it without paying much of my deductible.

Hey, I was wondering if you had any concerns of the srm-2s being inclosed in the headlight housing. I'd imagine those lights get pretty warm, even though they're LEDs. I'd love to install those inside my taillights in place of the reverse bulbs. Not sure I've got the balls to try pulling the housings apart though... Lol

Hey Omelet, when you modified your OME MD with the 1.5" spacer did you use it in place of the coil isolator or stack them?

I'm really not sure how hot they get, it's something I will need to figure out before I wire them in. Depending on what I figure out they will be wired in to work like stock, or only act as a blinker.

Well the spacer I used in the rear was 2.25" and I chopped it down to 1.5". It didn't have a built in seat for the coil so I used an isolator with it. If you go with the Rusty's spacer you won't need an isolator.

Nope never seen anyone do one. However the roof and pillars on the WK/XK are quite strong. I have seen a few that had rollled and none of them crushed, all the pillars and roof were fine. It's a nice improvement over previous Cherokees.
