What year is your WK? If its an 05-07 the you can just get the stillen covers. It covers up the side marker.

Ya but why spend more money when a little paint will do the same thing!

The LEDs are now installed!

With the wires running out the side and underneath.

I also got the projectors swapped out. Pics to come later...

I am about to put the clear on the side markers and then it will all be ready for reassembly!!!

I 100% agree, but this way he could always take them off if he had to have a side marker bc of a super trooper or inspection, maybe?

Your lights look sick btw. I can't wait to see the final product

the stillen covers still don't look right to me. I also don't like the idea of painting the outside of the glass. Maybe some of the spray tint will do it if I finish it properly.

Omelet, those LED's are going to look sick!

If you have them apart, I think some VHT spray tint on the reflectors would work well. It makes them much less noticable, but they still reflect light when headlights hit them. I used one coat on my tails and they came out great. I plan on doing the same to the front when I get around to it.

Now for the marker surprise! Not my original idea. It was either this or a MOPAR "M". I went with this because it was more the shape of the window than the "M" would have been.

I got a set of stickers made to the dimensions of the window. (Thanks again JCDubya for the hook up )

View from the inside:

After I scuffed one up with sand paper:

After they were both sanded I applied tape to the inside so light would only shine through the sicker and not glow around it:

Once they were painted and dried:

And with some back light:

That's sweet Nate! Very nice touch. Better then the "M" I think.

This is nice project you did. I'm liking the amount of time and thought you put into it. Not enough people pay attention to the fine details these days. It's nice to see you go the extra mile (as always). Way to step it up!

Can't wait to see them finished.

How did you get in there and peel up the sticker?

From what I can tell it looks like you put the sticker on, painted the whole thing, and then peeled the sticker off, is that correct?

I was just wondering how you went about getting the sticker up without damaging any of the paint work you did.

Oh Right! I used a scalpel and tweezers. I did the primer and base coat, then pealed the sticker (while it was still wet), and then applied the clear.
