Looking good.

Your build is the second most viewed thread on the WK/XK forum (not counting any stickies). The first is of course the "What did you do today" thread. Looks like you've got everyone's attention!

Thanks a lot bud! When you consider how long this thread has been around and that I am constantly updating it, then it's really not a big surprise. I'm just glad most are still enjoying it and are even interested

Yes extend bump stops front and rear and do pinch weld. I bought my jeep with 33s on it and the 3.5" X Factor lift and we'll needless to say I need new front fenders and some body work on the rear ones

Ok time for a couple updates! Nothing big or fancy just yet so don't get too excited.

This first one is actually one I did right before leaving, but didn't have the time to post. I was able to get a set of Craig's very awesome LED cupholder rings and get them installed. I won't cover a step by step instal because Craig already has a great one on his site here:

http://jeep-core.com/20057-wk-grand-...-installation/

So I disassembled the dash and center console to remove the cupholder. It was pretty dirty from years of use so I washed it in the sink before installing the LEDs.

Here's a couple shots of the LED rings/discs:

And once installed into the cup holder:

Then wiring them in. I didn't want to take the time to customize the wiring, but will probably go back and do something to make the controller easier to get to.

And the finished product! These things are sweet and the wife and I both really like them!

My end goal is to swap blue LEDs into all my instrument and control lighting, at which point I'll change the cupholders to blue. That will be very exciting!

Now today I installed a new Cobra 75 CB. I have been using a Cobra 25 for a while, but wanted something a little more compact. So I scored a new 75 with a second box (to wire into a second vehicle) off ebay for $90. I also got a new cable to replace the same one I've been using for a while but is getting a bit worn and weathered.

Next I removed the driver side kick panel and trimmed off a tab. This was where I screwed the box to hide it away.

Then I plugged the antenna cable in and wired the power. I like this spot because it's hidden when not in use (the mic will hide in the center console) and the mic disconnect is easy to access when needed. Also notice how the cable has a nice groove to come through and rest in.

And since I never did use the second pillar pod for my phone, it will make for a nice mic mount while the CB is in use!

The rings look good Nate! I'm glad you like them. I hate to break it to you though... Have you seen these?

Thanks and yes I have seen those and the Jeep logo ones. I like them but prefer the simplicity of the original ones. I don't want them to be too distracting, so I think just the ring glowing is enough for me.

For your wiring, CB, switches, etc. - where do you punch through the firewall into the engine space? Is it through a hole directly in front of the driver's area covered by a blue rubber pad/grommet on the engine side?

Yes. That's where I ran my power through for my cb and brake controller. That spot is just a thin rubber that can be "punched" through for purposes of wiring directly to the battery. Don't forget inline fuses.

That's where my cb and switches are wired through as well - here's my question, how did you get the blue rubber cover back on in the engine space. I can't get my hands down there well enough.
