Cargo lights look awesome!

It was really that easy to install? I think you got the strip off eBay? Mind pointing me in the right direction?

They put to shame my little $7 led bar from china freight I just installed.

Just looking thru your pictures here and on another website, but have you thought about going to town with some engine enamel on the underside of your beast? With the underside as visible as you have it, I bet some black or gunmetal paint on the exhaust or frame rails might be a cool contrast...

Thanks Bud! Here are a couple of links for you:

These are the exact ones that I have:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/5M-Waterproo...item4843962712

And here are some black ones. Same as the others only the base is black instead of white. I just ordered a roll These should be less visible than the others.

If you want some wiring instruction check out my Rock Light instal.

Well most of it is black by now. Every time I get back from wheeling I wire brush the damage and hit it with the rattle can

The rear black plastic step had been sun bleached to the point that it was more of a grey than black. So it was time to give it a quick refresh. I got two different bedliner cans to see which one I liked more. I ended up going with the one on the right:

The other stuff wasn't gritty enough for my liking.

The rear step is easy to pop off. First there are four plastic pop rivets that have to come out and then after a little leverage with a standard screwdriver, it pops right off. I laid it on a big piece of cardboard and gave it two coats. After it was all dry and the rain outside let up for a few minutes, I popped it back on the Jeep. Now it looks better than it ever did!

It is nice and black again and it has a slight texture. I didn't want it too thick or chunky, because from my experience it just makes it harder to clean. The dirt, sand, and mud would stick to it and would require some scrub time to clean it up. I was very pleased with the results!

Next up was the long awaited Headlamp upgrade! You can find the build thread for them HERE, but basically I upgrades from the 05-07 halogen lamps to the 08-10 HID projector lamps.

I stated out with this:

Tore them apart and turned them into this:

Comparison between the old and new:

And once installed:

I am still tweaking them and getting them to be exactly what I want. But for the most part they are finished and any little change most people wont even notice. This is the only Khaki I know of with these lamps. I love being different!
