Oil Filter/Air Filter advice for 3.0 CRD
Hi,
a well known 4x4 site on Ebay UK is selling an Oil Filter and Air Filter kit to fit my 2006 3.0 CRD Overland. On asking what make the filters were they said that they were of American origin. The Air Filter is made by Crown and the Oil Filter by UFI. Has anyone had any dealings with these two filter manufacturers products and if so are they of good quality. I haven't bought these yet so any advice good or bad about these would be appreciated. The seller stated that these are good and they are using them personally for their own servicing. Here is the link Thanks Darryl

Not sure about the air filter but the oil filter looks like a standard Wix/Mann. Probably just re-branded.

thats a pretty good price.
I put a k&n air filter in my WK, it was about $65 by itself. The MOPAR (Mercedes Benz) oil filters are pricey too, I bought one a couple months back, $48 I think. Personally, I'm not a fan of aftermarket stuff (except K&N), even at the lower price, but thats just me. ![]()

I can get the Genuine Mopar bits ie Air Filter, Oil Filter, Fuel Filter and sump plug washer for £57 delivered and to be honest i am still considering doing that. If i could get hold of Mann Filters at a good reduction compared to Mopar, then i would probably use them. Regards Darryl |

I recently bought an oil filter from my Jeep dealer in Stockport (manchester). It was Mercedes branded (made by mann) and was £9+VAT

Does Rockauto.com ship to the UK? or canada?
I dunno but i get WIX OIL filters from their website for 6.00 each.. Oh and the K&N... filter... ehhh i would rather spend my money on a tune.... or get a cone filter and do a retrofit... Unless you need that OEM look....
