Took a trip to Aspen to visit my sister this week. Had a few opportunities to check out some trails, had a blast and got to check out the capability of the qt1. Oh how I do wish I had a low range case... qt1 did fine, but I would have been a lot happier if I had some low gears. I also found that a rear guard is in my near future! Most of these photos are from Little Annie Road, which begins off of Castle Creek Rd in Aspen

Took care of some things today that I've been meaning to do.
1. Rear fender trim -- have a couple of spots where the trim dug into the tread on the tires ****it. Should have done it sooner
2. Mounted the fire extinguisher in the trunk, drivers side wall
3. Mounted the axe on the lift gate
4. Purchased a Slime portable air compressor
5. Made some orders online for some goodies... S4XC switch panel, three carling tech contura V switches, AirRam power wire, and had placed an order for some KC light, but I cancelled it; I think I'm going to save a little more and go for some better ones. At least I'll have the switches all wired up

Looking good dude. Love the trail pics. I was up that way a couple weeks ago. Looks a lot colder than when I was there! Ha

Which compressor is that? I'm looking for one like that too. Do you like it? And specs?

Where'd you get all the stuff for the axe?

Got the axe at a Coastal Farm, and got the mounts from 4wheel parts.

I ended up returning the compressor...it took FOREVER to inflate the tires. I'm getting ready to order an ARB permanently mounted compressor, the same on Omelet has. I decided that it would be great for the tires, camping gear, and....a locker if I decided to go that route down the road.

Oducks, I just read through your build! Your jeep was one of the WK's I first started looking at when I joined this site. I have a 2008 Silver 3.7 and I kept looking at yours for ideas. It has come a LONG way from stock! Did you plasti dip your side trim? it looks really dark and non faded for a 2005. look forward to seeing what else you do to it.

Thanks Moose! I haven't pasti dipped the sides, they are just the plain plastic. Every once in a while I'll rub teflon tire shine in with a rag, doing that seems to bring back the dark shine and it lasts for quite a while. Pretty soon im going to use spray on bedliner on all the trim pieces, I did it on the rear step and it came out well.

I actually just starting thinking about that. I really liked the look of it and I thought it would look good on the trim as well. you will probably get around to it before I do so you will have to post some pics.

Go for it! I would recommend the duplicolor spray on bed liner over the rustoleum, it has a much better texture. Also, I didn't sand the pieces before I sprayed them and it has started to come off in places, so it might be worth it to sand them. (Although it really isn't difficult to respray pieces)

In preparation for all the goodies that should be arriving this week I finished up the wiring on the s4xc switch panel. I used Omelets wiring diagram as a reference point, which was immensely helpful. Im happy with the way the switches look, would be happier if the green led's were blue but oh well. I don't know why the images are uploading vertically.

For now I have ordered two plug fillers. In the future there may be use for those spots though! I took my patents wheeling last weekend, at the end they said they had a great time and that I need a winch, so maybe a winch! Also thinking about adding a rear locker...if I can save enough. Those things are $$$$$
