OBD Link Scan Tool

I was wondering if anyone has used this OBDLink Scan Tool?

http://www.scantool.net/scan-tools/s...link-wifi.html

I was interesting it getting it and then running the software on either my laptop or iOS devices just to get the extra information about whats going on with my Jeep. I have read about a lot of people using Dash Hawks and other OBD tools just didn't know if anyone has used these cable less style ones connected up to there phone or computer.

Thanks,
Blue

Here is one of many longer threads. Search forum for OBD and you'll get more.

I'm not sure what the issue is in that thread regarding fake ELM adapters. I've heard of fake adapters on eBay, but I bought the purple and orange ELM327 from Amazon for $15 and it works just fine. When it comes to connectivity, I haven't had any problems. I sync it to my phone when I need it and I haven't noticed any lags or drops in data - instant feedback all the time. I would suspect the same with WiFi adapters. As far as specific adapters, software, and their pros/cons, I do not know. I can, however, say that I used a corded AuterraWeb PalmOS system from 2004-2012, and now that I've switched from corded to Bluetooth, I notice no difference in terms of data flow and connectivity. I'd argue that it's actually much easier to deal with the cordless systems than the cordless ones once you get the hang of syncing.

I was just interested in getting one and I know there are a lot of crappy ones out there and was just looking for feedback on which one people once and how they are connected it. I noticed I should probably stay away from the bluetooth ones because of issues with iOS devices. Thanks for your input.
