Noise from transfer case

Is it common to get something stuck in or around the transfer case of a 2005 WK with the QT2? I took her off road for the first time this last weekend and when I got back on dry pavement this awful racket was coming from right below me in the middle of the jeep. It sounded like it had slung out and has stopped making the noise now. Gonna lift it up tomorrow and mame sure there is no damage underneath.

When shifting back out of 4Lo or just in general? The shift motor is not quiet.

I got a small stick caught up in one if my UJs. It made a horrendous clunking noise until i pulled it all out.

Finally found out what it was. Went thru a couple mud holes that I guess someone had decided to burn some tires in and I got all the steel wire stuck in between my driveshaft and rear diff. All is good now

Well now it seems I have a different problem. Every now and then I'll hit a small bump and here a horrible rattle coming from under the Jeep. It'll shake the entire vehicle when it does it. Hit another bump and it'll stop. Anyone else experience a problem like this

Darn brake line falling onto the drive shaft at the rear diff is what I eventually found. About tore up the brake line but caught it in time
