NGC to engine ground strap

I replaced the engine (5.7) in my wife's 05 WK a few months ago. Sadly, when all was complete I had an extra ground strap left over. The part number and description (Figure 8-1215 from parts manual):
56038682ad :: STRAP, Ground, NGC to Engine

After much searching I found that NGC stands for Next Generation Controller. So I believe this ground strap should connect the ECU to the engine block. I don't remember taking it off, and try as I might I can't see any obvious place where it looks like it would be screwed in near the ECU.

I was hoping one of you fine Grand Cherokee owners could help me out. Could you please look for a ground strap near the ECU heading towards the engine block? The strap is covered in black insulation, and has the following numbers printed on it: "61789a 56038682ad"

We've been having some intermittent shifting problems which I thought was "fish bite." While driving this weekend a CEL came on. The code is PO740. One of the possible causes seems to be bad electrical signal to the torque converter solenoids so I'd love it if someone could help me figure out where this ground strap goes!

I'm thinking I may have to go look at a local Jeep for sale to get this figured out...

hey I rebuild dodge diesel trucks, ive used several hemi powered trucks for their bodies. several grounds on setup which u probably forgot to remove the one from your bellhousing(drives side top to firewall or bodies floor pan/heat shield bolts.
if I remember correctly, there is the mentioned above, ground wire on corner of your ecu attached in same mounting bolts as ecu, tranny ground.
any 8-12 ga wire wire gormets will give ample ground you need.
cheers

Thanks bud. I found the connection. The side with the tab is screwed to the body of the ECU itself, and the other side seems to connect to the engine block. At least, that's how I hope it's routed.
