Merlintec can verify this...but I am 95% sure the DPF is a North America feature because of EPA2007 emissions

Instead of the guessing game, get under there and take a look.

I tried to circle the dpf in the photo, still hard to see it because it sits low. also keep in mind that the photo is from a left hand drive jeep.

The circled thing above is the catalyst (?).
The dpf is located below the passenger side seat. you can see the two fuel lines that feed it.

This is the DPF but the two lines are actually for a differential pressure sensor so it can measure the difference in pressure across the filter to estimate how full it is and when to burn it off. It is a passive DPF and fuel is not injected into the exhaust past the engine. The ECM creates high exhaust temps through changing a bunch of variables to burn off the soot.

As for the first picture it is a pre-catalyst, there is also the main catalyst further in line between the DPF and pre-cat.

Hi
Correct they are pressure line the go to the pressure sensor you can see in the first picture.
Karl our GC don't have DPF for some reason, only the 300c and Commander (with the same engine) does.
Regards,
Merlin

I'm not sure this statement is true, or maybe its just not true with Canadian delivered CRDs.
