New WK

Hello All,

Long time XJ owner just turned WK owner a few weeks ago. So far... I LOVE THIS TRUCK!

The QDII system paired with the Hemi is crazy awesome!

Any first mods I should consider?

Same here man, 2000 XJ to a 2005 WK. The Hemi 5.7L is a great motor, effortless power and lots of it. I still have the XJ, and get to go back and forth, I must say they are very VERY different beasts.

I am 3 months in on owning mine, and so far have a new sound system, Rola roof basket, and a set of 2012 JK Moabs. Next up, lift and some 255 75 17 on some 1.25 adapters only if needed.

Make sure ALL maintenance is done first! My first upgrade is headlights...nothing worse then having a jeep that looks super expensive only to turn on crappy yellow headlights, kinda ruins it all imo

I agree with lauderdalechad.
Def make sure all of the maintenance is done first before any mods!

Thanks guys! As far as maintenance is concerned. That's something I'm still working on. I just changed all the pads and rotors. And later next week I will be changing all the fluids. Hopefully by the summer I can start modding.

Welcome, I did the samething XJ to WK. I am going to get an XJ project Jeep as soon as I can. The WK is not something I can tinker with, either on cost of parts or degree of difficulty. Plus its my DD. Leaving the XJ forum was tough because of all the stuff people do to their XJs. Really get into technical details over there and understand most of what they are talking about. Had my WK since October and really like it so far. Enjoy!!
