New (used) 2K5 WK owner intro

Greetings, fellow Jeep owners. I am new to these forums, so I hope that this is the right place to put my intro post

I just bought a used 2005 (red) Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo (WK) AWD for my son - he's 17. It is very clean and has low miles. It's his first car, so I had him help detail it and change the oil and spark plugs. He gets a freebie assist from his parents this time. The vehicle is all stock. I had to replace all of the hood and hatch pneumatic struts and polish the headlights, which my son did. The windshield washer nozzles had to be replaced (easy), the driver side door handle is cracked and needs replacement, and the A/C actuator is making the famed A/C clicking noise from the dash. That's my next project with him as I already have the part now (#604-006) and just need to figure out which side to replace.

The dealership performed a PID inspection and only came up with bad tie-rod ends and an upper control arm that needs replacement. They reported that engine and transmission were solid and no other issues or codes were present.

It will need new tires and brake pads and rotors here in about 6-8 months, so we are pacing ourselves and allowing him to help pay for those things. Otherwise, not bad for a starter vehicle for a teen.

Thanks! Yeah the red caught my eye when I spotted it on a wholesale dealer lot.
