Just picked up this gem after one of the roughest experiences at a dealership in my life. That is a whole new thread to vent about that. But in the end got a killer price on this 1 owner 4.7 flex fuel 4x4 laredo with 70K miles.
Looks great, runs pretty good but I can tell it was just a standard soccer mom or grocery getter vehicle. Has a few small issues that I will address first before getting into a "build".
Front end feels a bit loose going over bumps, can hear and feel a bit of slack in the suspension. Also has a faint whine up front when accelerating past 30mph, so thinking I will be dealing with a pinion bearing replacement in the near future. Also the rear passenger power window motor might be going out or maybe some gum in the track because it will creep up about 4 inches then finally go full speed the rest of the way up.
Plans will most likely be an exhaust system, small lift and probably some wrangler wheels with 255 or 265 tires. Also will address normal maintenance items; plugs, clean MAF and throttle body. run some good injector cleaner through it. Feels a bit rough at idle and slight hesitation off the line.
I look forward to being a part of this group, and hopefully learn some things about this Jeep
