New to the Grand Cherokee World

Hey Guys I just picked up my 2006 Grand Cherokee Laredo tonight and thought I would get on here and say hi. I already have a 2005 Wrangler and I just bought the wife the Grand. Anyways I was a little curious if anyone else has noticed if their cargo light is intermitent. I opened the lift gate tonight and noticed the light didn't come on I tapped the light and it came on I tapped again and it shut off. I'm going to take it in and get it fixed of course just wondering if this is something other people have seen.

Well now ya got the best jeep of em all :) Got one myself and love the thing, well after I replaced the way to soft springs anyways.

Never had a prob with the cargo light in mine might just be a one off.
Which motor did you go for ? I went the crd and its great!

We went ahead and just got the 3.7L V6. We don't really need anything big and the wife drives 40 miles a day for work so the V6 should get decent gas milage.

the 3.7 is a good motor. I just bought an O5 Laredo with 4wd on eBay last month. I'm getting about 21 mpg on the highway. And it seems to have plenty of power.

The GC is also rated very high for front end crashes. Not that I want to try that function out..... but it is nice to know.

The only real complaint I have is the rear seats have some coffee stains on them. It was a rental car, and I know folks who rent cars, don't always care if something gets on the seat covers.

I have tried everything to get them out. So far no luck. If anyone knows any good techniques of cleaning seat covers, I would like to hear about them.

There's a large dealer on eBay who always has leather replacement seatcovers for the '05-up Grand Cherokee. They supposedly are the same kit the dealer uses when you order leather from them, but this eBay dealer charges $399 plus shipping. Much easier to keep clean. I'm saving up!

Yeah sorry about the repeated post my computer went a little crazy when I was posting that.

I really like the GC it has plenty of room and the 3.7L has plenty of power the wife and myself. Plus it will be much better driving the GC in the snow then the Crossfire we traded in on it.
