New CRD owner here

Would like to say hi and introduce myself. I'm Todd, live in Saginaw Texas and I am a jeep addict. I started off with a 2000 Cherokee Limited 4x4, moved to a 2002 WJ Laredo 4x4 I-6 (after 2000 was killed in traffic accident) then moved to a 2004 WJ Special Edition 4x4 V8 and a month ago graduated to a 2007 WK CRD Limited Quadra-Drive II.

It was a dealer demo, I got it in Feb. 2008, they had it since April of 07, had 2,800 miles on it. I'm up to 4,100 and love it. Future mods include upgrading the headlights to HIR bulbs and getting skid plates on it.

Checked out a few jeep forums, and it seems this one had the most CRD owners on it.

So, saying hi and happy jeeping!
Todd

Get my 07 CRD Limited tomorrow

I got a fully loaded 07 Limited for $38k, which seemed like a good price given the $47k sticker.

This is my second Jeep (99 Cherokee is the other), and my first diesel.

Really looking forward to picking this up tomorrow.

I'm planning to run biodiesel in it and am looking for recommendations on fuel filters and heaters. I know Racor is recommended, but there are so many options and I'm not sure which one I should get.

Just FYI: If you haven't read the thread regarding additives, BIO and SVO check out this link.

Ended up canceling my order for the 07. I came across an 08 Overland for the same price.
Went to get it with my wife tonight. She hated the brown interior....so, no new Jeep for me

Back in Action!
My local dealer located an 08 Limted CRD today(silver w/ grey int.) and I drove it home tonight. Loaded except for the dvd for $35k.
I picked up the 7year warranty for an extra $1700. Piece of mind and all.

Wife is out driving it...I can't wait till she gets back!

Deal I got

I picked up my jeep for $9k off. Was listed at $44k, got it for $35k.
There is a 5 year free warrenty on the tires and wheels. If a tire blows out, replaced free. If from the blowout and stopping the vehicle, the wheel is damaged, replaced free. Even still good if I get new tires in a couple of years.

Picked up lifetime warrenty with a $100 deductible too.

And gap insurance.

Think I got everything covered.

Anyone know why the 07 list (and invoice) was so much more than the 08s?
