need some help

hey guys im new to the wk thing.
im planning on getting a 2.25" bb and I wanted and need new tires ill be running stock 17 and was told I needed spacers to put bigger tires without rubbing but ive seen some people on here say they didn't use spacers so do I need them? and second I NEED new tires asap but I wont have my lift for a few weeks or a month or so, but if I need spacers I could get those and new tires but I need to know what the biggest size is I can fit with just spacers, and also what size I can fit with a 2.25"lift ill probably get reamed for asking all this but I have searched the threads and have got a bunch of diff answers.
so any help would be appreciated

I believe that the largest tire you can fit with spacers and no lift is a 255/75/R17...but it will rub on tight turns and speed bumps/pot holes. You should take care of the pinchweld and rear fender roll now to avoid cutting up your tires when stuffed. As for the wheels, you will most likely need spacers to run a wider tire, but if you buy new wheels with the correct backspacing you can forget about spacers. Check out the build threads on this forum. Great stuff and really helped me out so far.

Biggest stock tires for a 99 WJ is P265R16, then you're into modifying.
