Need Runningboards

I am new to the forum and I just picked up my '05 Grand Cheroke Limited with the Hemi 5.7. Great ride!

My wife is vertically challanged so I will need to add running boards. Any suggestions on a quality after market set?

I’d suggest a set of sliders from 4xguard.com. The owner is a vender here, so he mite be able to give you more info on them. I’ve seem them on a WK here and they look nice. Plus they will protect your rocker panels better than cheap tube steps.

I have the 4xGuard Side Guards on my WK and love them. While they're great protection, I find them to offer minimal stepping area, which I really don't even use. However, they are slightly less expensive than Mopar's offerings.

Thanks for the info. I am looking for something with a larger step area.

Give AutoAnything a try. They have several listed. Go there and Shop by Vehicle: enter your make, model, and year, then click on Nerf Bars/Side Steps. They have a toll free number to call to get further help. I'd be extra sure that the part will fit the WK since they're often mislabeled from the WJ.

The Jeep home page has them; click on "for owners" and follow your nose. You can get a part number and shop for price.

Westin makes decent looking ones...black powder coat or stainless steel are available I believe.
