Think the part number moved from 68004143AC to 68004143AD to 68004143AE.

I found the thread on cleaning it before, I am going to try that later. Just in case, I'm
Trying to find just the bezel. People were posting the price as 150$ or around there. All the ones I found were $600+

The last letter of the part number is a revision.. so AC has probably been superseded and no longer available unless someone has old stock laying around.

I had a very intermittent problem with mine(every few months or so). I was going to clean it but I instead bought the part off ebay for 100$ brand new. The part cross referenced and I hope to install it this weekend.

Was yours also not kicking into the next gear, and over revving? I changed just the bezel, as what many people said to do, or should I change the whole assembly ?

Yes, mine would briefly light all up and rev up until it was placed in park. Then it would go away but leave a check light until a couple more start ups. I would get whichever one is the cheapest or possibly clean it first. I would have cleaned mine at some point but it has been so rare in occurring that I never made it a priority. I think the bezel contains the contacts which are the problem.

I have had a lot cleaner shift patterns since installing the part. The one I found online had 5 availible at the time. I checked the part out when I got it, and it was brand new surplus. So, I can't complain for $115. All factors considered, $115 is better than the $500+ it's usually going for.

This is the same one I bought. I found a site that listed all cross references somewhere.
