Great! The fuse trick worked for me this time so the message is gone and the 4Lo is working for now.

But I'm not sure if I trust Chrysler with this new update... I think I'm going to wait a bit until they have truly corrected this MAJOR screw up

Btw, esoxhntr, what boat do you tow? I'm a salmon and bass guy, hailing a lund.

Service Appointment held on 7/31/14. 7/29 TSB performed. This version has worked longer than the previous flash had done, but it hasn't even been a week yet.

I'm testing a few (2-3) times per day, so hopefully I'll either get tired of testing or it'll fail. My service manager seems highly confident that this will be the final fix, especially since they re-did the one that didn't work with the 7/29 update and had success.

I tow a mirrocraft with a yammy. Fish muskies pretty much exclusively except through the ice.

I had no 4LO after N23 and took it into the dealership this week.

Today starts the third day they'll have my car and the service advisor just told me he replaced a wiring harness and will be replacing my actuator tomorrow. He says both things should be covered under N23.

While it stinks not having my car for three days I do have a loaner and I must say this service department seems to be doing the right thing.

Will keep you posted.

Just had N23 recall done today

I went into the dealer last week as the engine check light was on and the message center was saying check 4x4 system. They went through a few things and advised me of the N23 recall which I had them do & as there was not enough time at the end of the day They gave me the option to com back this week to finish the service, they thought a wire was broken under the battery to the FDCM??? The check engine light was always on and I assumed it was due to the 4x4 message, apparently not as that was No 4 glow plug gone bad, so $65.15 for a new GP. They said there was nothing wrong with the 4x4 system everything worked OK but the "Module Under the battery" was at fault?? and would cost $405 for a new module, they would have to remove the battery, the left front tire and the inner fender to get to it????, I see here the FDCM is under the back seat. But the 4x4 is working fine, Hi range & Low Range, I even checked it in my driveway tonight, might try in the back yard tomorrow. I did not know of the problems everyone has had with this N23 & the broken circuit board "patch up" by FCA, seems like a major **up to me.

I'd say their odds are about as good as ours...

better than our odds if the inmates have a work-release program with the local auto recyclers

If Chrysler had you and Blown7 were working on this, it would have been fixed a long time ago.

It's only been 3 days but the latest flash is working so far for me. I used 4 low 3 or 4 times today, also pulled it while in drive, reverse, cruising the road at 20 mph or so.... just to sorta "try everything" and really work the switch I guess. I'll keep reporting back.

I had the July 29th update done today. It was working when I went in (fuse pull) so, lets see how long this lasts. For me, the fault normally appears on start up when I am travelling for more than 2 hours or 2/300 miles...
