My 3,000 Mile Review of The 4" Superlift (Pictures)

As always I have to give a huge thanks to 4xGuard www.4xGuard.com (Colo.Kid) for all of his help with the ordering process and the kit. Also a huge thanks to sinisterjeep for spending some serious time on helping me get some wheels.

Ok onto the review:

For those of you that don't know my history with Jeeps (WKs) I will start from the beginning.

I had an 05 WK w/ a 2" Daystar lift. Which was a great kit but after 30,000 miles on that kit I started to get sick of the ride quality. I told myself that I was either going to go back to stock or purchase the Superlift after all of the great things I had heard about it.

I decided to go with the Superlift. At about the same time that I ordered my Superlift my 05 WK decided to explode so it was on to a new Jeep for me. This time an 07 Laredo w/ the 4.7L V8. Some may call me crazy but I actually prefered the downgrade--I'm not big on leather.

For the most part I have nothing but good things to say about this kit. The thought and dedication that went into designing this kit is evident down to the front diff skid plate. All of the materials used are very high quality which probably can be attributed to Superlift's in house manufacturing. The ride quality on the highway is absolutely amazing! My girlfriend and some other buddies that know zero about cars and probably wouldn't even notice that they're in a lifted Jeep have even commented on how nicely it rides. Obviously with the higher center of gravity you certainly notice a bit more body lean in turns but nothing that feels abnormal. Braking and acceleration are obviously affected by the bigger tires but after running 265s for so long I don't really notice a difference.

Some people may be concerned about the power that the 4.7 can offer but I can tell you that it will do just fine for day to day driving. I find myself in the mountains every weekend and do notice a bit of a lag when going up 10,000' passes.

I haven't yet had a chance to take it offroad but hopefully will be doing so for Easter Jeep Safari. I have, however seen my Jeep up on the rack and the rear travel is greatly increased while the front travel distance remains the same as stock. Unlike with 2" kits where you lose some downward travel in the front.

I was hoping to get some American Racing Fuel wheels (like autofetch) but they sent the wrong wheels (American Racing Crush in black) but I think they turned out great! I'm still waiting to put my 4xGuard stuff on just haven't found the time yet (even though its only a 10 minute job). W/o further adieu here are the pictures:
