The red Jeep sat cold overnight so today I pulled it in the garage, opened the fill plug on the front diff and it's definately at capacity after drain/refill the other day. So, I buttoned all the skids back up underneath and the WK is ready for winter:

Just got finished going through all of your pages man. I have to say I enjoyed this read a lot (even if it took me 35 minutes) lol. If there is anything I regret, it was selling my XJ, but I hope you continue to hold onto both of your Jeeps. Nicely done.

Dunno AJ - At this point the WK would be the most likely to leave as it could serve me well in aquiring a real tow pig. But thanks - I appreciate the compliment much.

If you're really looking to get rid of it would you be parting out?

^^^ Doubt it. I'll sell it local. I'm really lookin at getting the master bath redo started for my wife..........so that's gonna be relegating my Jeep projecting/scheming/planning time.

I've had some slight noises coming from the driver front so I took to some wrenching time on the red Jeep today. I made some cuts http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f67/m...l#post12910826

a while back to make easy access to the top strut bolt and you gotta get all the other stuff outta the way to get the mounting bolts etc. Did this:

Tightened all these down with some air.

Jacked the front, pulled the wheels, hand torqued the rest of the front suspension. I had some tightening to be done on the uca bolts, upper/lower sway links, and sway bar brackets. Clevis bolt/nut was good and so was the upper fork/strut bolt.

^^^ What can I say - I like it clean. It's better in the long run: use, maintenance, upgrades, longevity.

I love the way a dirty Jeep looks though.

Agreed, it looks great until you have to crawl under and do some wrenching. Just like that meme says, 10 minutes of fun in the mud, 10 years of ***** falling in your face. Good work staying on top of maintenance.

Ready to pull the XJ to a day of wheelin. The WK almost got it's chance to hit the trails. Sunny skies cleared the snow from the roads enough to detail it to haul team. ;-)
