they are very easy make actually. you can get round bar and then get link bar end links that you can thread onto the bar and use it as an adjustble track bar. i used to make link bars like this when i built link kits for trucks with air ride

looking to buy the matrix mounting platform. pm me if you have one for sale

^^^ Are you talking about boring out the ends of a solid round bar and tapping it in order to thread in a link end?

no. you get like 1'' OD tube that has a 3/16 wall and then these

thread the ID of the tube screw this into it with a jam nut and you get an adjustable track bar.

^^^ Pretty slick. I'm going to look into this some more. My only concern is 1" x 3/16" tubing being too weak. I don't know if it is or isn't. I know RRO uses .25" wall DOM, not sure what Rusty's uses. The stock looks to be 1.25" square tube and I have no idea the wall thickness.

but also keep in mind. these bars that i linked, are meant for air link setups. which take a ton of abuse and are the MAIN part of the suspension on a vehicle with air ride. like leaf springs. so 1'' with 3/16 wall would be ok

if you want to use sqaure tubing you would use this bung. weld it into the end of the square tubing and then use the same end lings

http://thorbros.com/4-link-parts/4-l...ed-4-link-bung

http://thorbros.com/steel-tubing/30-...-x-2-x-14-wall

this is roughly what the final product would be

So I did some research on the parts linked and concluded that without modifying the end links (i.e. chopping them down) they aren't going to fit the mounting points. The smallest bushing they offer is 2" and I can't find any info on the width of the steel end that the bushing gets pressed in, and control arm end links are certainly wider than the stock tracbar links. I am going to look for other vendors but I really don't want to have to modify parts for a modification if ya know what I mean. Not when about $30 more puts a bolt in adj. trackbar at my door from the guy in the brown truck.

I don't know, Griffin, assuming that is actually a Rusty's product, that pic looks like a TRE of a draglink coming off the pitman arm in the steering linkage of a solid front axle. Which sees different forces than the tensile and compression of a rear trackbar on a WK. Thanks for lookin out for a fellow Jeeper though

^^^ BAHAHAHA, WOW!!! He must just troll threads looking to bash companies with off topic parts! Clearly that is a tie rod failure and it's not even a track bar. My guess it's not even a Rusty's part either.

Rusty's bar is the best one for our platform. RRO sells one for slightly less, but needs modification to bolt in and JBAs bar is $200 more than Rusty's. I have been torturing mine for the past 2.5 years and have had zero issues with it!

I have read several threads regarding problems with rustys track bars however none were for a wk. Im sure you will be fine. As far as that meme goes, yes that does appear to be the steering tie rod end. Fail.
Not bashing any companies.
